The commercial market in the region is undergoing historic developments, so the collaboration is now taking shape in a new commercial department, which will expand the collaboration and continue the positive development. Experienced estate agent Klaus Andersen, who is also celebrating his 25th anniversary at EDC, will head up EDC Poul Erik Bech’s new commercial centre on Lolland-Falster. Klaus Andersen has been a partner in the real estate agency in Maribo for many years, where he has regularly assisted EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech’s commercial department in Næstved with commercial matters on Lolland-Falster. The commercial market in the region is undergoing historic developments, so the collaboration is now taking shape in a new commercial department, which will expand the collaboration and continue the positive development.
The establishment of EDC Poul Erik Bech’s new commercial centre on Lolland-Falster on 1 January 2026 comes in the midst of a period of significant change and opportunity on Lolland-Falster. Klaus Andersen is therefore stepping down from the residential business in Maribo and taking on the role of commercial manager in a newly established unit, EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech Lolland-Falster. Here, he will be responsible for commercial sales and brokerage across the entire region. Klaus Andersen says:
“It’s a really good time for me to change tracks, and I’m looking forward to the new business challenges. I’ve been with EDC and in the industry for over 25 years, and I’ve worked on Lolland-Falster all those years. My network and experience can now be put to direct use in the commercial property market, where developments are happening at a pace we have rarely seen before. At the same time, the residential property market is very strong and is being reinforced with two new partners at the helm. This provides the peace of mind and energy needed to build a new commercial centre that matches the growth we are experiencing in the region.”
More market share
EDC Poul Erik Bech is Denmark’s largest real estate agency with 75 residential branches, and now 21 commercial centres and more than 675 employees. Poul Erik Bech says: “Our two talented partners, Martin Andersen and Mikkel Heegaard, who head our commercial centre in Næstved, South Zealand and the islands, have been doing well for a long time and have been busy. For some time, they have been working with Klaus Andersen on commercial cases in Lolland-Falster, which has now resulted in a new dedicated commercial centre covering the whole of Lolland-Falster.”
“We are delighted that someone of Klaus Andersen’s calibre will be taking on the role of business manager for our Lolland-Falster business department. He brings strong skills and 25 years of experience from the region, and he will be working alternately from Maribo, Nakskov and Nykøbing Falster, while of course continuing to work closely with our business centre in Næstved. We look forward to following developments and are confident that we will gain even more market share in Lolland-Falster.
EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech in Næstved has built up a strong and prominent position on Lolland-Falster over the years. This position is now being further strengthened with the appointment of Klaus Andersen and the establishment of a dedicated business centre in the region. At the same time, the new department will become part of a strong team, where partners Martin Andersen and Mikkel Heegaard will assist Klaus Andersen and continue to provide professional advice and high expertise to both new and existing customers across Lolland-Falster and South Zealand.
Region in historic development
The move to the business centre coincides with Klaus Andersen’s 25th anniversary at EDC, providing a natural opportunity to apply the experience gained from a long career in the industry directly to the rapidly growing business segment in Lolland-Falster. Klaus Andersen says:
“The establishment of our new business centre comes in the midst of a period of significant change and opportunity in Lolland-Falster. This is not least due to the upcoming permanent Femern connection to Germany, which is bringing a positive wind of change to the region, leading to the establishment of new business areas, among other things, while national business park status is also in sight. Overall, we are seeing increasing activity from investors and developers in Lolland-Falster, so we are gearing up to match demand and ensure specialised local advice, and I look forward to getting started.”
