Largest in North Zealand: EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech joins forces with competitor and doubles its workforce

EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech in North Zealand is merging with danbolig Erhverv Hillerød, doubling its workforce. Together, they are strengthening their position as the region's largest commercial estate agent with increased specialisation, significantly more staff, stronger data and future-proof ambitions for the experienced commercial estate agents in both companies.

EDC Poul Erik Bech is Denmark’s largest real estate agency with 21 commercial centres, 75 residential shops and more than 675 employees. They are now strengthening their presence in North Zealand by making danbolig Erhverv Hillerød part of the leading commercial real estate agency.

Dorthe Mills, partner and commercial estate agent at danbolig Erhverv Hillerød, says: “We have chosen to become part of EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech in North Zealand, as together we are much stronger in the market and will become by far the largest commercial estate agent in North Zealand. Becoming part of Denmark’s largest real estate agency will be a huge game changer.”

“In many ways, we do a lot of the same things, but we will gain strong new competencies. I am personally very excited about this, as we will have access to much better and more in-depth data on market developments, which will strengthen us and, not least, our customers. At the same time, we will be strengthened in areas such as research, marketing, PR, HR, sales support, legal, etc., so for us it is truly a win-win situation.”

Future-proofing the business
Johnny Hallas, partner and commercial estate agent at danbolig Erhverv in Hillerød, says: “EDC Poul Erik Bech came on the scene with just the right offer, which we simply couldn’t refuse. We have made the decision to future-proof the business and give our talented and experienced employees really good and exciting prospects for the future. We are all looking forward to becoming part of a super strong and large team.”

The growth continues
EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech Nordsjælland was established as an independent entity in 2008. Since its inception, it has gone from strength to strength in terms of activities and staffing. Poul Erik Bech says:

“We warmly welcome the seven employees of danbolig Erhverv Hillerød to the team, thereby doubling our number of employees. We are already market leaders in North Zealand, but this significantly strengthens our position. All other things being equal, this means that our customers will have even more estate agents and hands to handle their cases, and when you are a buyer or tenant, you will have an even wider range of properties and premises to choose from.”

“At the same time, we can specialise even more in relation to the various segments: investment, office, retail, industry, warehousing and logistics, hotels, inns and camping. The new employees will become part of a successful business centre in North Zealand, together with our current employees, led by the two partners Stephen Bertelsen and Jacob Lunding, and in future also Dorthe Mills as a partner. The business centre has just moved to new, attractive premises at Lokesvej 8 in Hillerød.”
