In the future, citizens can be accommodated at the former Mølholm Private Hospital when they need temporary treatment and care. The Region of Southern Denmark has purchased the former private hospital in Vejle to house the new health and care places, as Vejle Municipality needs to establish more places for the new task, which must be ready for operation from 1 January 2027.
Brummersvej 1A in Vejle has a total area of 3,443 m², which corresponds to just over half of the total number of square metres put up for sale of the former Private Hospital Mølholm in Vejle. Henrik Troelsen, Director, EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech Trekantområdet, says: “There has been great interest in the five properties. The main building has now been sold to the Region of Southern Denmark and we have just sold Brummersvej no. 4, so there are three buildings left at asking prices of DKK 6, 7 and 15 million respectively.”
“As an advisor, it has been an important priority for us to ensure that we found the right buyer for such a significant and historic property. In a close and professional collaboration, we worked purposefully to find a match that respected both the qualities of the property and the seller’s intentions. We are therefore very pleased that the Region of Southern Denmark is taking over the former hospital property and giving it new life with healthcare and care spaces – in our opinion, this is the optimal solution for all parties,” says Henrik Troelsen, EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech Trekantområdet.
As a former private hospital, Brummersvej 1A is well suited to accommodate healthcare and care spaces, as there are already many facilities and rooms suitable for the purpose. The five properties are owned by KIRKBI, which chose to put them up for sale in connection with Private Hospital Mølholm’s move to new premises.
