JLL and EDC International Poul Erik Bech advise on acquisition of unique airside logistics asset in Denmark

International Investment firm AEW has acquired Copenhagen Cargo Center, a 28,135 m2 airside logistics asset at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. The seller is the pan-European real estate investment and asset manager Palm Capital, which took over the logistics center in 2018.

JLL has acted as buy-side commercial due diligence advisor in collaboration with local Danish firm EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech in providing market leading local and pan-European Airport / Airside logistics advisory to support AEW with the acquisition.

The asset has highly sought-after airside access and is let to DHL, Postnord, Telenor and WFS (Worldwide Flight Services). In addition to the logistics space, the property accommodates office space, and there are also good opportunities to create additional value through development, with permission to expand the warehouse capacity by 5,000 m2 on the southern part of the site.

Joseph Alberti, Head of Research at EDC Business Poul Erik Bech has provided his view: “Copenhagen Cargo Center is a very attractive logistics center, and this is due in particular to the unique location, which with a rare direct access to the cargo area next to one of the largest cargo airports in the Nordic region, Copenhagen Airport, and is an important strategic position with secure tenants.”
